Deliveries

Deliveries will take place between 8:00am and 8:30pm from Monday-Saturday. On Sundays and public holidays, deliveries take place from 9:00am-2:00pm and again between 5:00pm and 8:30pm.

Mays Chemists will make every effort to deliver parcels within the shortest possible time frame.  Certain factors beyond our control may affect delivery times and we cannot guarantee that all the items will be delivered within such a time frame.

A delivery is considered complete as soon as the parcel is accepted by you or an individual on your behalf at your specified delivery address. Anyone who takes receipt of the parcel is presumed to be authorised to accept delivery on your behalf. For verification purposes, the person accepting the parcel may be required to produce some form of identification (identity document/drivers licence/passport). Should nobody be present at the address at the time of delivery, the parcel will remain with the driver.

Please note that we reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee for a second attempt at delivery. Delivery will then be effected for a second time at the indicated delivery time. If at that time there is no one present at the address, the parcel will be returned to our store and a return will be processed for the products purchased. The delivery fee is non-refundable. You will be contacted in order to confirm the refund method you would prefer.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you or the intended receiver of the parcel inspect(s) the parcel on arrival and make known any complaints. The receiver has the right to refuse the parcel if it appears to have been opened or if it has been damaged.

Returns

If you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return it to Mays Chemists Melville within 30 (thirty) days for a full refund, replacement or exchange if:

·        You have the original tax invoice provided with the order

·        The item is in its original unopened packaging

For hygiene reasons, personal grooming items and cosmetics cannot be returned, except where defective. The re-dispensing of a medicine which has been returned is prohibited. Mays Chemists will accordingly not accept the return of any medicine for credit or replacement unless there is a defect in the medicine or its package at the time of supply, or if an incorrect medicine has been dispensed.

Warranty

We make no representations whatsoever and give no guarantees against latent or patent defects in respect of the products, and all conditions and warranties whatsoever, whether implied or otherwise, are hereby expressly excluded. We shall not incur any liability of whatever nature arising in contract or delict from any injury, loss or damage to any person or property arising from the use of the products.

The products supplied by Mays Chemists shall be suitable only for the purpose designed and intended. The customer shall ensure the products are handled, stored, installed, used, worn or otherwise dealt with in a normal and proper manner, and where applicable, in a manner consistent with the instructions given by us. No action or claim of whatever nature shall lie against Mays Chemists arising out of or in connection with any defects in, or unsuitability of, any Products.
